We have a glorious new song from The Selmanaires for you to take a listen to. "Resonance Alright" is a sneak peak (or listen) from the band's new record, Tempo Temporal, which you can listen to on the band's MySpace and get straight from the lads at their upcoming shows (the soonest of which is October 15's Atlas Sound/Broadcast show, where The Selmanaires will not only be opening but also providing back up band business for Atlas Sound).
The track itself is quite a departure from The Air Salesmen, taking on a much mellower tone. Fans will already be expecting such a change, as the introverted psychedelic sounds has been showcased in the band's latest shows, but hearing it all put together on tape, as it were, takes you to another place; somewhere between Kraftwerk's earliest imaginings and Stereolab's quirky barebones noise, with definitely a taste of Noot D'Noot's recorded grooviness. Looped bleeps and beats back up the dreamy vocals (with the dreaminess increased thanks to Adron providing backing vocals), creating a perfect backdrop for the late night driftaway.
