500 Songs For Kids- #100- 50 Update

Songs #100-50 on the Countdown of the 500 GREATEST SING-ALONG SONGS OF ALL TIME!

Friday night finally broke the countdown into double digits as it focused on songs 100- 50. However, the audience got a special treat from the top 3, when Francine Reed graced the stage to sing the number three song on the countdown, Louis Armstrong’s "What A Wonderful World." Cagney Guest impressively played Jane’s Addiction’s "Been Caught Stealing" solo with only a banjo, and Golden kicked the night into high gear early on with their note-for-note rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s "Free Bird."

Songs #150-100 on the Countdown of the 500 GREATEST SING-ALONG SONGS OF ALL TIME!

It’s the final countdown! Tonight will start at song #100 as we enter the final stretch on the 500 Greatest Sing- Along Songs for All Time. Last night's countdown was no easy task as artist after artist tackled the list, including some impressive beat-boxing, acapella and straight out stripping (thank you- Five Eight). Only two more nights and 100 more songs, so be sure to make your way to Smiths to share your money for charity and your voice for a good time.

Donating to 500 Songs for Kids may lead you on the road to Heaven, but last night everyone wanted to go “Straight to Hell” when Drivin n’ Cryin performed their classic. One great performance led to the next as the continuous revolving door of enthusiastic talent graced the stage. Colonel Bruce Hampton was also there to add his own touch to a Sly and the Family Stone jam.

Songs #350-300 on the Countdown of the 500 GREATEST SING-ALONG SONGS OF ALL TIME!

The hits kept on rolling during night four of the ten night music marathon. From 112’s Q Parker’s soul rousing rendition of R.E.M’s “Losing My Religion” to Clay Cook’s poignant, acoustic sing along of Annie’s “Tomorrow,” hits and talent are definitely heating up as we near Saturday’s finale.
